I made this Perpetual Calendar a constantly changing art work of dates, days and months of the year to reminds us to live in the moment. The left-most box reads “We Are Not…” and presents the calendar’s elements in a variety of sizes, using different typography in a colourful jumble, to symbolise the idea that our focus should not be in the past or the future but in the now, the now which is represented on the far right in the text: “Today Is…”. With the use of magnets, the pieces for today’s date can be moved easily, providing a unique combination of elements every day.
