This is a poster named the "broken down car" trick, it was inspired by a lovely weekend retreat with friends on the north-west french coast. Thanks to a fortunate breakdown of the retro Peugot 104 (a little french car made during the seventies) we were able to enjoy the white cliffs landscape of this part of France (called alabaster coast) a little bit longer. We even have the luxury to share a tasteful lunch on the seaside, while waiting for the mechanic to come.
I made this drawing in memory of those great memories. What was a "just for fun" illustration became a turning point in my artistic approach. Usually more at ease with minimalist and vector drawing, this first illustration opens me up to a new part of my universe that I continue to explore since.
